Joan Miro was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramist. His goal within his works was to upset the visual elements of painting. At a young age, Miro was involved in the arts. His parents were craftsmen. When Miro moved to Paris in 1920, his style of art changed as he drew inspiration from Dada and Surrealism. His works were also formed to represent some of the oppression from the Spanish Government in the 20's and 30's.
